Ayurveda is not just a healthcare branch but ‘a science of healing’. Originated in India about 5000 years ago and often called ‘Mother of All Healing’, it is one of the oldest healing science.

It stems from ancient Vedic system and was taught by masters to their disciples in the form of Sanskrit Shlokas. Afterwards Acharyas like Charak, Sushrut , Vagbhatta wrote them down in Sanskrit verses . In modern era, this knowledge is decoded in languages like English, Hindi for better understandings by Ayurvedic vaidyas or students.

Even back then Ayurveda had given prime importance to women’s health. It even stated that Women’s health is to be taken care for healthier society. In today’s era women are working hard balancing their career as well family. Finding work-life balance can be very stressful and equally exhausting physically as well mentally. These drastic lifestyle changes are giving rise to different gynaecological disorders. As per Ayurveda, the key to treating gynaecological disorders lies in balancing hormones, regulating lifestyle, managing stress and attaining equilibrium of doshas along with healthy diet.

Gynaecology or Streerog Tantra in Ayurveda deals with management of menarche and related symptoms, menstrual disorder like menorrhagia, dysmenorrhea, irregular menses, amenorrhea, metrorrhagia, menometrorrhagia, vaginal discomfort, different vaginal discharges, uterine infection, PCOS, PCOD, uterine fibroids, breast lumps, endometriosis, pre and post menopausal symptoms and menopausal related issues.

Obstetrics or Prasuti Tantra in Ayurveda deals with Primary and Secondary infertility (Vandhytva), Pre conceptual care (Garbhadhan Sanskar), Pre natal care from conception till delivery (Masanumasik Garbhini Paricharya), Medications & diet till 8th month of pregnancy, Specific Panchkarma procedures along with medicines in 8 & 9 month of pregnancy for ease and peaceful delivery, Garbhasanskar sessions along with yoga and meditation from conceptions till delivery, post natal care (Sutika Paricharya), Yoga and diet for post partum woman, management of post partum stress and anxiety, breast care, breast feeding, etc.

Ayurvedic remedies and methods are natural and holistic at the same time has minimal to no side effects. There are evidence based studies for all these treatments. In recent times lot of researches are being conducted to validate effectiveness of these remedies and methods using modern standards and parameters. As a team of BTTR, we, through this platform would love to give our kind service with help of Ayurveda because that’s where our roots belong.
